APS Clinical Nurse Specialist funding grant

APS Support UK is delighted to announce that Leeds NHS Teaching Hospitals Trust is the winner of our APS Clinical Nurse Specialist grant award and we look forward to working with them over the next two years!

Thanks to our generous supporters, this is the first time we have been able to fund an APS Clinical Nurse Specialist role and we hope this new position can play a vital role in providing extraordinary care and support to people with APS and their families.

What is APS?

Causes and symptoms

Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disease which affects the blood and its ability to clot. An overactive immune system produces antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL), which cause the blood to clot too quickly both in veins and arteries.
